A leading Australian artist, Margaret Cilento won international awards for her work & studied at prestigious schools in Paris, London & New York where her father Sir Raphael was United Nations Director for Refugees and Displaced Persons & her sister, actress Diane Cilento, was studying dance. Margaret studied at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, at the famous Atelier 17 and won a French Government scholarship to the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A pioneer in Abstract Expressionism and a master of figurative painting, her work is held in major private and public collections here and overseas.
